Welcome to OR Networks - the creators of ORTV
®
Integrated operating theatres and interactive video teaching links

Every minute, somewhere in the world, a surgeon is using ORTV® to improve the quality and features of their operating theatre video, data and communication systems.ORTV®  allows any number of flat panel monitors to be placed in the sterile field to display any image the surgeon wishes, whether from endoscopy, x-ray, PAC's, EPR, pathology or patient monitoring.

One exciting feature is ORcast® : a unique system that allows the surgeon to visually communicate with colleagues or student delegates, live and interactively.  Either to a nearby room or thousands of miles away to another hospital.  The surgeon can discuss the procedure with any remote viewer, as if they were standing by their side.
It is the perfect system for either teaching or asking colleagues for advice.

Designed by specialist broadcast engineers and leading surgeons, OR Networks systems are now installed in hospitals throughout the world.  From simple video teaching links to large networks combining tens of operating theatres to tens of seminar and lecture rooms across multiple sites.

ORTV®  is supported by a suite of software and hardware features that optimise the functionality and reliability of your system.  Click on the link to see features that monitor your systems 24/7, report errors and send emails to support staff on fault detection.  CArd security systems that protect the confidential patient information and restrict access to video transmissions to authorised personnel.

Working with the NUGITS team of laparoscopic surgeons and Northumbria Healthcare, the video link will support the ongoing laparoscopic training by providing surgeons with live video telementoring to their trainers based in the UK.

Additionally, visitors can be permitted access to the unit with "follow me" floor lighting and access control for the automated doors.

Colin Dobbyne, Managing Director of OR Networks said. "This is a very versatile and sophisticated system and to the best of our knowledge unique. We do not know of a single application anywhere in the world that is similar and as advanced as the system being installed at St Marys; combining video communications, with data imagery, access control and patient visitor flow control.

OR-3G

OR-3G is the third generation of integrated operating theates.  OR Networks, in partnership with Maquet and Howorth Airtech, offer hospitals the only open-architecture theatre on the market.  ORTV's new theatre designs permit the use of any manufacturer's equipment e.g. endoscopes, pumps or shavers.  This important policy maintains a freedom of choice for users that is not available from other integrated theatres.
