In June 2007 LIMIT reformed at St. James’s University Hospital, Leeds. The brief required a flexible and dynamic training facility for Post Graduate Medical Education and was to include high tech audio visual services and the capability to provide video conferencing and interactive medical television services.
With OR-TV’s experience and willingness to work closely with LIMIT they were instrumental with the install and commissioning of the fully integrated AV system for lectures and group medical teaching including cameras and two way audio for assessment and recording of medical scenarios in the training operating theatre. A network of high quality MPG2 Codecs were also installed to enable transmission of medical camera images which can be sent out to other sites within the Trust and also broadcast to National / International conferences.
