Live Surgical video Links for Laparoscopic telementoring
In a world’s first, OR Networks, in partnership with Nothumbria Healthcare, have installed a permanent two way video link from within an operating theatre at KCMC directly to surgeons in Northumbria for live laparoscopic mentoring and training. The LYNX systems is supported with a dedicated ADSL line provided by Tanzania Telecommunications company (TTCL) to provide a 1mbps uplink speed. This enables full resolution, full frame rate video of the endoscopic camera view to be sent anywhere in the world.
